Coalition of NGOs for Child Protection – KOMF, which represents 35 non-governmental organizations, through this document addresses to the candidates for mayors and candidates for municipal assemblies the priority issues for intervention in the field of child protection at the municipal level.

These proposals are in compliance with the legal framework in force and the legal obligations of municipalities deriving from the Law on Child Protection, the Law on Local Self-Government, the Law on Social and Family Services, the Law on Early Childhood Education, the Law on Pre-University Education, the Law on Health and the Law on Local Government Finances.

The implementation of these proposals will directly impact improvement of children’s access to quality social, educational and health services, as well as on strengthening the child protection system at the municipal level.
