KOMF launched the campaign “YOU’RE MY STRENGTH” dedicated to social workers

The purpose of the campaign is to promote the role and importance of the social worker and social services in supporting children and families in need. In Kosovo, the contribution of social workers holds immense significance for the well-being of vulnerable citizens, particularly children and in need.

n the framework of social services provided by both public institutions and non-governmental organizations, social workers play multiple roles for the protection and well-being of children and families. Social workers provide social and family services to children, families and citizens in need, facilitate their access to services as well as act as intermediaries between citizens and social services in place.

At the launch of the campaign, an awareness video highlighting the crucial role of social workers in supporting children and families will take center stage. Opening remarks during the ceremony, were made by: Donjete Kelmendi, Executive Director at KOMF, Vlora Limani Hajnuni, Political Advisor to the Minister of Justice, Nona Zicherman, Head of UNICEF in Kosovo, Anna Toness, Director of Programs and Policies from USAID in Kosovo, Blerim Shabani, Chairman of the Association of Centers for Social Work and Sebahate Beqiri, Member of the KOMF Steering Committee.

This campaign is made possible through the project “Strengthening social service workforce to provide continued quality social services for most vulnerable children and their families” supported by UNICEF in Kosovo in partnership with USAID in Kosovo.
