KOMF presents the “Report Card 2023” in the Capital City of Prishtina

The Coalition of NGOs for the Protection of Children – KOMF organized a roundtable in Prishtina, the capital city, to address the key findings and recommendations from the Report Card 2023 – What is Kosovo’s overall score on childcare?

According to the report, Kosovo received a score of 2.43 for overall childcare (on a scale of 1 to 5). Keynote speeches were delivered by the Mayor of Prishtina, Përparim Rama, and the Director of the Directorate for Social Welfare, Adelina Sahiti. The report was presented by KOMF members Rexhep Gojnovci from the NGO Akti and Lulavere Behluli from Save the Children Kosovo.

The event gathered representatives from the Municipality, municipal directorates for education and welfare, the Center for Social Work, schools, the Kosovo Police, juvenile prosecutors, school psychologists, and non-governmental organizations.

The main objective of KOMF through this report is the independent monitoring by civil society of the state of children’s rights in the areas of social welfare, child protection, child health, early childhood development, education, and juvenile justice.
