KOMF in partnership with SOS Children’s Villages in Kosovo, Organization for Children without Parental Care – OFAP and KMOP, through the “Joint Action for Decentralization” project funded by European Union and managed by the European Union Office in Kosovo, held the national conference to publish the Report on the impact of social services decentralization process in Kosovo.
During this conference, were presented the findings and recommendations of the published report and discussed with the participants the situation of decentralization of social services in Kosovo, challenges and alternatives towards successful completion of this process. More specifically, the report presents the existing framework and decentralization of social services situation, as well as conclusions and recommendations for completing the decentralization process.
The purpose of this report is to assess the effect of decentralization and the impact of this process on the quality of provision of social services. The publication of this report serves as the starting point for annual monitoring of the implementation of the social services decentralization process, with the aim of increasing the responsibility of public institutions at central and municipal level for the social services decentralization process. The first monitoring report will be published in the coming weeks.
