In addition to consultations and thematic workshops, KOMF is supporting the process of drafting the Law on Social and Family Services by providing legal expertise to the working group, to further support the drafting of the draft law and at the same time to include the main recommendations of KOMF’s position in the draft law.

For this purpose KOMF has contracted in the capacity of legal expert Professor Dr. Bedri Bahtiri in order to support the working group for drafting the Law on Social and Family Services, to harmonize the legal provisions of the Draft Law on Social and Family Services with the Family Law and to reflect the position and recommendations of KOMF on the Draft Law.

KOMF with member organizations will give voice to the concerns and views of children and citizens in need of social services, and will continue to address KOMF’s position on the Draft Law on Social and Family Services

The support with legal expert is provided under the project “Joint Action for Decentralization” funded by European Union and managed by the European Union Office in Kosovo, which is implemented by Coalition of NGOs for Child Protection in Kosovo – KOMF, in partnership with Organization for Children without Parental Care – OFAP, SOS Children’s Villages in Kosovo and KMOP.
