School sessions and visits by KOMF members!

KOMF together with member organizations are developing the initiative “For children in schools”, where we will conduct visits and sessions with children, teachers and parents in schools.

What is the purpose of the sessions?

• To contribute for the creation of a supportive and friendly environment for children in schools.
•To promote inclusive education and support children with disabilities.
• To raise awareness of the importance of cooperation with parents.

In the sessions we will talk about?

– Creating a supportive and friendly environment for children in schools.
– Child protection, violence prevention and reporting.
– Inclusive education and support for children with disabilities.
– Mental health of students.
– Parental engagement in the emotional and social development of children for their healthy growth, etc.

Children participating in the session are recommended to be between the ages of 10 and 18. Up to 100 students can participate in the session.

To ensure inclusiveness and equal participation of children, the school should consider the following criteria when selecting children to participate in the sessions:

Gender: Inclusion of a balanced number of children gender, to ensure equal opportunities for boys and girls.
Age: Children should be selected taking into account the relevant ages.
Diversity: Inclusion of children from different ethnic groups to respect diversity.
Inclusion: Children with disabilities should have equal opportunities to participate in the session, with support if needed.
Students with different learning outcomes: The school should include children with different levels of performance
