Coalition of NGOs for Child Protection – KOMF, which represents 35 non-governmental organizations, through this document has addressed to the mayors of municipalities the priority issues requiring intervention in the field of child protection at the municipal level.

These proposals are fully aligned with the applicable legal framework and the legal obligations of municipalities deriving from the Law on Child Protection, the Law on Local Self-Government, the Law on Social and Family Services, the Law on Early Childhood Education, the Law on Pre-University Education, the Law on Health, as well as the Law on Local Governance Finances.

The implementation of these proposals will directly contribute to improving children’s access to quality social, educational, and health services, as well as strengthening the child protection system at the municipal level.
