The workshop for financing of social services was held in Ferizaj region KOMF conducted the two-day workshop for financing of social services, with the municipalities of Ferizaj, Kacanik, Hani i Elezit and Shtime.

During this two-day workshop Officials of the Mayors’ cabinets, assemblymen, Directors of Municipal Directorates for Health and Social Welfare, Budget and Finance, procurement officers, human rights offices, directors of Social Work Centers and representatives of social service providers from the non-governmental level government, were informed about how to plan, cost and contract social services.

One of the main challenges at the municipal level remains the sustainable financing of social services for people in need. KOMF is supporting municipalities in empowering professionals to identify community needs and provide quality social services.

This workshop was made possible within the project “Strengthening social service workforce to provide continued quality social services for most vulnerable children and families in Kosovo”, supported by Unicef Kosovo Program in partnership with USAID Kosovo.
