KOMF through a Press Release reacted with a huge concern regarding the news published on media, where it was reported for sexual abuse of a minor girl, from some minor boys, within school premises.

KOMF appealed toward all media that published shooting or data that that discover the identity of the minor, to remove them. Shooting, name of school class and other data can lead to the discovery of the name of the minor, major damage and revictimization of the child, other children and their families. Due to the high sensitivity of the case and the very young age of the children involved, KOMF appealed toward media to protect the confidentiality of the case above all, while having in consideration the best interest of the child.

KOMF appealed toward the Center for Social Work to prioritize services for protection and rehabilitation for the child and to take all necessary measure for the other children. It also appealed toward the other institutions mandated and involved in this case, to take all necessary measures in accordance to legislation. KOMF through its member organizations offered to help in this case, if it will be required by institutions.
