Short Analysis on the Advancement of the Protection of Abandoned children in Kosovo (0-3 years old), is a result of the need to identify obstacles in the child protection system and challenges faced by the institutions that have a mandate to look after the abandoned children; to identify the degree of the institutional response to the needs of children and how they observe the best interest of the abandoned children.

This analysis focuses on the assessment of the three main pillars that provide protection for the abandoned children (focused on the alternative form of protection), such as: the legislation, the functioning of the child protection system and a general overview on the development of abandoned children aged 0 – 3 years old during their stay in alternative forms of protection.
