Kosovo is facing numerous challenges in preventing and treating children who are victims of substance abuse. In recent years, it is estimated that the total number of users has exceeded 30,000. Within this number, children and adolescents make up an increasingly large proportion each year. According to data from the Labyrinth organization, the average age of initial drug use has dropped from 18 years old in 2018 to 16 years old in the most recent period.
