KOMF certifies 17 trainers from member organizations to promote children’s participation

KOMF, with the support of Terre des hommes – Kosovo and within the framework of the Capacity Building Programme for member organizations, organized a three-day Training of Trainers on “Children’s Participation and Inclusion”. During this training, 17 professionals from KOMF member organizations were certified as trainers for this module.

The training was led by Albulena Shabani and aimed to strengthen the professional capacities of participants to promote meaningful children’s participation in decision-making processes and social life, in line with international standards and child rights principles.

Through interactive sessions, group discussions, and practical exercises, participants deepened their knowledge of the legal framework and standards that guarantee children’s right to participation. They also developed practical skills to create inclusive processes and activities that ensure children are heard and involved in a safe, equal, and meaningful manner.

The training also addressed the challenges and barriers that hinder children’s active participation, providing practical approaches and methods for overcoming them. Through this process, participants were equipped with concrete tools to deliver trainings and support their organizations in integrating children’s participation into policies, programmes, and daily activities.

This training is part of KOMF’s continuous commitment to investing in the professional development of member organizations and strengthening practices that place children at the center of decision-making processes.
