KOMF signed a new grant agreement for National Intervention in Kosovo, marking an important step towards bringing real change to the country. This achievement was made even more special by the presence of representatives from Norad and the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, whose continued support helps strengthen civil society and foster progress across the region.
To strengthen direct child involvement, which has been identified as a weak point in the KOMF needs assessment, KOMF will begin the process of establishing the MEGAFON program for capacity building and inclusion of children and youth. MEGAFON will aim to build the capacities of organizations and establish processes for child involvement and consultation. The majority of children and youth to be involved will come from the beneficiaries of member organizations, but children will also come from schools and other social settings to ensure inclusiveness and avoid stigmatization.
Initially, through MEGAFON, it will be possible to increase the capacities of member organizations to implement the concept of meaningful participation of children and youth. In order to develop MEGAFON, it is necessary to create a Methodological Guideline for KOMF member organizations on child participation. ToT trainings will be held with KOMF members on the methodology. KOMF will receive international expertise – the support of the National Network for Children in Bulgaria for the development of the methodological guideline as well as the holding of TOT trainings.
