KOMF participates in the meeting of the Inter-Ministerial Committee for the Rights of the Child

Donjeta Kelmendi from the Coalition of NGOs for Child Protection – KOMF participated in the meeting of the Inter-Ministerial Committee for the Rights of the Child.

Kelmendi addressed the facts regarding the situation of children in Kosovo as well as the urgent need to address them.

Some of the issues that were raised by KOMF were about reducing child poverty, ensuring the sustainability of social services, ensuring access to services for children with disabilities, protecting children from violence, labour, increasing the quality of health services, etc.

In addition, during this meeting was launched the campaign and the Public Awareness Program for the Implementation of the Law on Child Protection with the motto: “Love for every child”.

KOMF member organizations work every day to provide services and programs for children and families, to support institutions in drafting policies and legislation, raise awareness and build capacity, contributing directly to the implementation of the Law on Child Protection.

KOMF remains committed to monitoring the implementation of the Law on Child Protection, to document the real situation and to increase accountability.
