On Children’s Day, Donjeta Kelmendi from KOMF together with Florina Duli from Terre des Hommes and the Kosova Rehabilitation Centre for Torture Victims KRCT participated in a roundtable organized by the Ministry of Justice at the Juvenile Correctional Center in Lipjan.

Minister Albulena Haxhiu said that they remain committed to continue with the reforms in the humanization of sanctions and criminal justice for juveniles, including the programs that activate them.

Donjeta Kelmendi said that since the measures are intended to contribute to rehabilitation, it is strongly recommended to increase the number and capacity of staff responsible for service delivery and implementation of programs for rehabilitation and reintegration of juveniles.

The Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Justice, Lulzim Beqiri, presented the Administrative Instruction for the Implementation of Child-Friendly Justice in Criminal, Civil and Administrative Procedures. The drafting of the administrative instruction was supported by the member organization Terre des Hommes through professional and technical expertise.
