The “Standard Operating Procedure and form for imposing the diversity measure – Police Warning” is approved
After intensive work, a joint meeting was held to present the Standard Operating Procedure and the template for imposing the diversion measure “Police Warning”, drafted in frame of the Kosovo Police with KOMF and Unicef Kosovo Programme, within the framework of the project “Protection of vulnerable children in Kosovo”, which is financially supported by European Union in Kosovo.
The diversion measure “Police Warning” has been included in the Juvenile Justice Code since 2018; however, its implementation has been minimal.
Therefore, this initiative marks a significant step forward, expected to contribute to the improvement of the juvenile justice system, the reduction of judicial proceedings, and the promotion of rehabilitation and the prevention of recidivism among juveniles.
