KOMF starts a new project in support of the Social Services Decentralisation process

Coalition of NGOs for Child Protection – KOMF in partnership with SOS Children’s Villages Kosovo, Organisation for Children without Parental Care – OFAP and KMOP have signed a contract with the European Union Office in Kosovo for implementation of the project “Joint Action for Decentralization”, for the period of 42 months, in the amount of 480,963 Euro.

The contract was signed in frame of the call for proposals “Support to CSO Partnerships and Networks”, which aims to enable civic engagement and participatory democracy in Kosovo by promoting partnership, cooperation and dialogue among citizens, civil society organizations and public institutions for enhanced inclusiveness and participation in decision making.

The project aims to contribute toward the completion of social services decentralisation process in Kosovo.

The main objectives of the project are:

– Strengthen and increase capacities and active role of Coalition of NGOs for Child Protection – KOMF towards the social services decentralisation process;

– Advocate toward decentralisation of social services through contribution for the improvement of related legal framework, monitoring of current legislation and mobilisation of public institutions;

– Raise awareness among wide public through media communication on social services decentralisation
