We are delighted that the Draft Law on Early Childhood Education was approved in the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo.

It is noteworthy that starting from the academic year 2023-2024, Pre-School Education will become mandatory.

KOMF, along with its member organizations as part of the working group for drafting the draft law, has provided expertise, advocated, and put forward several proposals. Among them, the proposal to establish a legal basis forinitiating sectoral coordination and integration of services between the education, health, and social welfare sectors. Another very important issue pushed by KOMF in the draft law is the strengthening of the component of child protection in early childhood.
