The Government of the Republic of Kosovo has approved the decision to subsidize shelters and non-governmental organizations that provide social services, preventing the closure of services. This decision will enable the continuation of social services for children’s victims of violence, trafficking, children without parental care, children with disabilities, etc.
In order not to end up in such dangerous situations that seriously violate the rights of children guaranteed by the Constitution and the legislation in force, KOMF calls for the creation of a sustainable scheme for contracting social and family services from the non-governmental sector. Contracting must be done in the name of purchasing services for the provision of social services for periods of three years in order to ensure sustainable funding.
