The Coalition of NGOs for Child Protection – KOMF in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare have held the next workshop to discuss the phase of preparation and finalization of four (4) Administrative Instructions arising from the Law on Child Protection and Law on Social and Family Services.
With special emphasis this meeting focused on discussions and proposals for the concept of Child Protection Homes. During this meeting it was emphasized that it is extremely important to define the most appropriate model of houses for the context of Kosovo, always taking into account the limitations of financial resources. n this regard, participants shared some models from countries such as Sweden, Georgia, Albania, etc on child protection homes.
Following the discussions, all models were submitted to the Department of Social and Family Policy within the Ministry of Finance, Labor and Transfers, in order to come up with a summary and conclusion on the situation in Kosovo compared to the models provided. These conclusions will be discussed with the working group in order to make the final decision.
This workshop was attended by representatives from the Office for Good Governance under the Office of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Finance, Labor and Transfers, the UNICEF Office in Kosovo and KOMF member organizations.
This meeting was made possible under the project “Joint Action for Decentralization”, a project funded by the European Union and managed by the EU Office in Kosovo, implemented by the Coalition of NGOs for Child Protection in Kosovo – KOMF in partnership with the Organization for Children without Parental Care – OFAP, SOS Children Kosovo and KMOP.
