KOMF Board members attended the activity of the member NGO, Balkan Sunflowers Kosova, which has five learning centers in four municipalities of Kosovo, where around 500 children are supported every day.
The visit was conducted at the learning center of Fushe Kosova where with BSFK members it was discussed on the situation of children from communities and BSFK needs during service provision.
Only 38% of children from communities are fully vaccinated. Only 8% of children aged 3 – 4 living in Roma, Ashkali and Egjiptian communities, attend programs for early childhood education. 84% of children attend primary school, 64% attend lower secondary school 31% attend high school. 1 in 3 women and 1 in 10 men aged 20–24, are married before the age of 18.
Government and municipalities need to take immediate actions to improve the situation of children from Roma, Ashkali and Egjiptian communities.
